What to do if you have a complaint about a product or service after purchase

Do you have a beautiful new sofa, kitchen, floor, bed or window covering that you are not satisfied with? And have you been unable to reach an agreement with the home furnishings entrepreneur? If you made your purchase at a CBW-approved home store on or after 1 January 2020, the UitgesprokenZaak.nl foundation can assist you. UitgesprokenZaak.nl offers a fast, expert, and independent solution to disputes between consumers and CBW-approved home entrepreneurs, either through mediation or a binding decision.

How does a procedure work

When you submit a dispute, the official procedure begins. This means that you have already attempted to resolve the complaint in consultation with the entrepreneur. The procedure consists of three phases, with the third and final phase concluding in a ruling by one of our binding advisors. At each phase, there is still an opportunity to reach a mutual agreement.

Frequently Asked Questions

You are usually satisfied with the products and services you purchase from a CBW-approved home furnishings store. On the rare occasion that something goes wrong, it can often be resolved through consultation with the store. However, if that’s not possible, you can file an official complaint with us, which then becomes a dispute. We ensure that disputes are handled independently and impartially. Since this is not something you encounter every day, we have already provided answers to many of the common questions we receive.
